How to use StartDeck eSignatures, Delivery and Tracking

StartDeck eSignatures has two modes:

  1. Quick signatures for any PDF or Google doc.Use this mode quick signature tasks, such as signing a PDF or requesting signatures for miscellaneous documents.
  2. Publish, sign, deliver and track StartDeck project documents. Use this mode to sign, request signatures, or simply deliver project files.

 


Quick Signatures for a PDF or Google Doc #

Need a quick signature? Use StartDeck eSignature. 

  1. Go to the StartDeck Project Page
  2. Select eSignatures icon at the top of project Page.
  3. Upload a PDF to sign and/or get signed in the designated upload area, or paste Google Doc URL in the designated areas to sign and/or get signed. 
  4. Choose a signature option
    1. "I'm the only signer”
    2. "I'm signing and others are signing"
    3. "Others are signing, but not me"
  5. If others are signing, add their name and email
  6. Add fields for signing (field options include signature, initials, date, text, email and phone)
  7. If I am signing, sign (signature options include uploading, typing or drawing)
  8. If others are signing, send for signature
  9. When all signatures are complete, download signed doc. Signed documents can be downloaded from the Project Page at the Publish panel.

  1. Click on a field to sign, date, etc.
  2. eSignature options:
    1. Type
    2. Draw

  1. Edit subject line and email message
  2. Send to recipients, initiate signatures and tracking

Step 9: Download Completed File #

Each signer will receive an email with a download link. The completed file may also be downloaded from the Publish section.

This Section Details the Signature Process for Project Documents

Signing project documents is similar to Quick Signatures though with additional options. This process also differs in that only the project document is processed for signing (other documents cannot be added to the signature process, unlike Quick Signatures where any document can be selected for signature).

Sign, Publish and Deliver and Track Project Documents #

  1. Start at the Project Page and select the Publish panel.
  2. Next, click the Signatures button (right hand side at the top). This will initiate the signature process.
  3. There are three signature options and two publish/delivery options. The signature options are:
    1. "I'm the only signer”
    2. "I'm signing and others are signing"
    3. "Others are signing, but not me"
      Alternatively, if no signatures are required, options are:
    4. "No signatures required, publish PDF and deliver to others”
    5. "No signatures required, publish PDF”

      Regardless of the option chosen, PDF Addenda, if any, will be appended to the project document PDF.
  4. If others are signing, add their name and email
  5. Add fields for signing (field options include signature, initials, date, text, email and phone)
  6. If I am signing, sign (signature options include uploading, typing or drawing)
  7. If others are signing, send for signature
  8. When all signatures are complete, download signed doc. Signed documents can be downloaded from the Project Page at the Signatures/Publish/Delivery/Tracking panel.

  1. This option publishes and delivers a final PDF file and initiates tracking.
  2. This option publishes a final PDF file which can be downloaded by the user.

Tracking Signatures and Deliveries #

After sending signature request(s) and/or deliveries, tracking will automatically display. From here the status of signatures and deliveries may be tracked as the document moves through the recipient list and delivery process.

Click View to view tracking details

Note: When the recipient list includes both signers and non-signers (delivery only), delivery is made after all signatures are completed.

Note the sender can opt-out a recipient in the event they choose not to sign or confirm delivery. This allows the signature and delivery process to continue.

 

Access Tracking from the Account Menu # 

In addition to the tracking documents from the Project Page, tracking for all projects can be accomplished from the From the StartDeck Dashboard. From the Dashboard, click the avatar icon in the upper-right corner and click "Track Documents". This will open the tracking page where the status of all projects may be viewed.
